This heart is all dressed up but rather than a night on the town it’s locked in “protective” custody. Turned loose a wild heart can create or get into situations with unexpected and at times disastrous results. The explanations for these events range from “one thing leads to another” to the old faithful “the devil made me do it”.
No matter the reason, once turned loose a wild heart faces all manner of risk and danger.. Injuries that can last an hour or a lifetime can occur anytime and without warning. Insurance to protect you from heartbreak does not exist, and there are no guarantees or promises you can depend on. No surprise than a lot of hearts are in hiding, safe from injury.
True the walls that we put around our heart may protect us from injury but the protective barriers also keep out anything good that may come our way. While we avoid the things we fear, we also lose the opportunity to experience the things we desire.
What to do? I have no idea except to hope for the best.
FYI: In Mohnton today we are enjoying a chilly 19 degrees and snow that may last all day. Also enjoying a steaming cup of Cuban coffee, a wonderful view of fresh snow, and a warm calico cat.
Hope you are enjoying your day, thanks for visiting.
